Your Role: Application Specialist
The Application Specialist ensures the technical success of customers using Simcenter 3D, Femap and the Altair suite. You will work closely with customers to understand their engineering workflows, propose solutions, and help them improve their processes. The role includes classroom training, mentoring, and direct customer support through our "Colleague Across the Border" model. You will also work with the sales team to identify opportunities for expanding software usage within accounts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for an assigned set of accounts. Identify problems and take responsibility for resolving them.
- Support the sales process by developing account intelligence, identifying opportunities to increase software usage, and assisting with software development and deployment.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers to gather simulation requirements, propose solutions, and communicate the benefits of our approach.
- Conduct training sessions on introductory and advanced topics related to Simcenter 3D, Femap and Altair.
- Perform benchmark simulations and test cases to explore new methods, establish best practices, and verify results.
- Manage multiple projects and support engagements simultaneously.
- Demonstrate new software capabilities to customers.
What You Bring
Required
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field
- 3+ years of industrial experience with Simcenter 3D, Femap, Altair or general FEA tools
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to customer needs
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and presentation skills
- Swedish and English
Preferred
- Familiarity with the Simcenter portfolio, though experience with other simulation tools is equally valuable
- Working knowledge of design processes in industries such as semiconductors, chemical, process, combustion, oil & gas, energy, marine, aerospace, or automotive
- Additional languages such as Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, French, or Spanish
