The work
Two kinds of roles, one team
Application specialist
You are the first technical contact for a set of customers. You answer their support cases, help them model their problems, teach introductory and advanced courses, run benchmarks and show what new releases can do. Our guide describes what a CAE engineer does.
- Tools the team works in: Simcenter 3D, Femap, STAR-CCM+, Amesim, HEEDS and FLOEFD, and the former Altair tools HyperMesh, OptiStruct and SimSolid
- All our application specialists hold an M.Sc. or a Ph.D.
- Recent openings: Gothenburg (2026) and Hamburg (2025)
Account manager
You look after customers in a region, from the first conversation to the licence agreement and the renewals that follow, with an application specialist at your side for the technical work.

Every October we host the Simcenter User Conference in Gothenburg: two days of talks by engineers from Volvo Cars, AFRY, Väderstad, Casappa and others.

Common questions
Do I need to know Simcenter already?
Not always. Each ad says which tools it needs. For our latest application specialist role, experience with other simulation tools counted as much as Simcenter.
Do I need to speak Swedish?
Roles in our Nordic team have needed Swedish and English. Each ad says which languages it needs.
Can I apply when no role is open?
Yes. Send your CV and a short letter to info@volupe.com with “Open application” in the subject line.
What happens to my application?
We use it only for the recruitment, and keep it as described in section 2.7 of our privacy policy.
