Job Description
Position Overview
The Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring the technical success of our customers using our software, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and the Simcenter System Simulation Solutions. Working closely with customers to understand their engineering workflows, the Application Specialist proposes solutions and best practices to help clients meet their objectives and improve their processes.
The role includes classroom training, mentoring, and providing direct customer support through our award-winning support model, "Colleague Across the Border." The position also collaborates closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for expanding usage within accounts and engages with customers to realize that growth.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned set of accounts, addressing all technical issues related to the use of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and Simcenter System Simulation Solutions. Identify problems and take responsibility for resolving issues successfully.
- Support the sales process by developing account intelligence, identifying opportunities to increase software usage, and assisting with software development and deployment.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers to gather and understand simulation requirements, propose solutions, and communicate the benefits of our approach.
- Conduct training sessions on both introductory and advanced topics related to Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and Simcenter System Simulation Solutions.
- Perform benchmark simulations and test cases to explore new methods, establish best practices, and verify results.
- Manage multiple projects and support engagements simultaneously.
- Demonstrate new software capabilities to customers.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Sc. or Ph.D. in a related field
- 3+ years of industrial experience with Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and general system simulation tools
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to customer application needs.
- Excellent communication, organization, time management, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Familiarity with Simcenter System Simulation Solutions, though experience with other system simulation tools is equally valuable.
- Working knowledge of common design processes, objectives and constraints in one of the following industries: Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Energy, combustion, etc.
- Any of the Nordic languages, German, Polish, Spanish, etc
