Simcenter STAR-CCM+ from Volupe AB will boost efficiency at Odense Maritime Technology A/S

Odense Maritime Technology A/S (OMT) has come to an agreement with Volupe AB, for the coming year, to deliver simulation software and support in Simcenter STAR-CCM+. As OMT is a returning customer to Simcenter STAR-CCM+, they have during the evaluation period been very impressed with the improvements done in the software, particularly around templating for marine applications.

“Everyone involved at OMT are very impressed with the new features, the template workflow and Volupe´s ability to support us in our work with the software”, says Frederik Sivholm Sommer, Naval Architect at OMT.

Flexible licensing options

Apart from the workflow improvements OMT has been really pleased with flexible licensing options which suits their project-based simulation needs. “A strong requirement from our management was that we could show major cost savings doing simulation activities in-house. A requirement which will be fulfilled already after the second project”, Fredrik continues.

Benchmarked simulations

During the evaluation OMT has benchmarked simulations results against tow test results and the deviation has never exceeded two percent. “Simulation results apart, we are really happy that OMT trusts the competence of our experienced application support engineers”, says Volupe CEO Robert Samuelsson.
