Mycronic is a Swedish high-tech company engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of production equipment with high precision and flexibility requirements for the electronics industry. Mycronic’s headquarters are located in Täby, north of Stockholm and the Group has subsidiaries in China, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam. Mycronic is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Mycronic have during the evaluation period been impressed with the possibility to include all physics acting on Mycronic’s jet-printer and hence the fidelity of results delivered by Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

“Apart from the performance of STAR-CCM+ I’m very happy with the support from Volupe’s team during the evaluation. Their high level of engagement and knowledge has been pivotal to help improve the validity of the simulation model”, says Daniel Brevemark, Senior Specialist Mechanics at Mycronic.

Apart from the fidelity of the model Mycronic has been happy with possibility include the FEA model and run coupled FSI simulations. “The possibility of integrating CFD and dynamic FEA in one simulation tool for this Multiphysics challenge is expected to eliminate data transfer and enable automation, thus speeding up iterations. This should enhance workflow efficiency and remove software and expertise bottlenecks within Mycronic organisation.” - Daniel continues

We are very proud that Mycronic has chosen Volupe and STAR-CCM+ to help retain their position as global leader in the Jet-Printing industry”, says Volupe’s CEO Robert Samuelsson.
